Celebrate Navrouz with NikaTravel – one of the most joyful holidays in Uzbekistan. Navrouz is the oriental New Year, marked on March 21st and 22nd on the day of the vernal equinox. This spring equinox represents the moment when the sun crosses the celestial Equator, an imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s Equator. Navrouz, therefore, is the festival connected with the long-awaited arrival of Spring, a huge week-long celebration that occurs nationwide. It’s characterised by lots of shows, sporting events, singing and dancing. In every park, every stadium, every street corner, there’s something going on.
The tour will take in some of Uzbekistans’s most fascinating historic sites, stunning natural landscapes seen from high altitude mountain passes and vibrant modern cityscapes. You’ll experience the local culture through its bazaars and through its food. Throughout the tour, we’ll experience the warm welcome offered by the hospitable Uzbek people as they invite us to participate rather than spectate during this very special event on the country’s social calendar.
